ABSTRACT
The absorption spectrum of Sudan Red III (SR) in aqueous solution and a series alcohol solutions containing sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) surfactant was determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. After establishing appropriate association models to analyze the experimental data, constants K m SR SDS various were determined. All greater than those water. ethanol had largest constant, indicating that addition small amount enhanced between SDS. Association thermodynamics function Δ r G values also calculated from constants.
