Scientometric Analysis of Scientific Publications on Persian Medicine Indexed in the Web of Science Database

Persian medicine (PM), also known as Iranian traditional medicine, is a collection of ancient experience, knowledge and skills that has been long practiced by experts for prevention, diagnosis treatment diseases. Given the importance assessing scientific outputs rising popularity such PM, we aimed to perform scientometric analysis draw map PM-related publications present research perspective in this field science. This descriptive analytical study was carried out with approach on all Web Science (WoS) database until November 2018. The VOSviewer software used drawing maps. results showed 18 2018, 1717 documents related PM have indexed Science. Average citation rate 8.11 citations per document. H-index these 49. amount productions increased dramatically since 2013 (growth rate= 61.06%).
