ABSTRACT
Existing research has shown that plants are best suited for the ecofriendly green synthesis of nanoparticles. This study reported novel findings on biomimetic silver nanoparticles using aqueous leaf extract six medicinal plant species in genus, Combretum (C. paniculatum, C. dolichopetalum, platypterum, C racemosum, bauchiense, and demeusei). It was concerned with characterization, phytochemical screening, antimicrobial cytological evaluation synthesized (AgNPs). The novelty this lies creation a nanoparticle production index (NPPI) based their crystalline sizes (in nm) yield mg/l) AgNPs. NPPI can be defined as measure quantity particles produced respect to experimental species. also investigated whether these would produce similar results since they belong same genus. observed smaller size nanoparticles, higher index. highest paniculatum (18.75 nm, 144. 6 mg/l), least demeusei (0 6.3 mg/l). AgNPs were characterized various standard analytical techniques. X-ray diffraction analysis indicated showed 2 theta values 40° range, all corresponding miller indices (200). varying but significant activities. Also, majority high NPPI. heralds system, “phytonanotaxonomy”, classification taxa
