ABSTRACT
The present study aimed to elucidate the epidemiological profile of tuberculosis patients in Natal-RN between years 2010 and 2018. This was an epidemiological, retrospective documentary study, which recovery secondary data occurred from “Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único Saúde (DATASUS)” Brazil. following variables were studied: year notification, gender, age, schooling, area residence, ethnicity factors that facilitate onset tuberculosis. Statistical association performed using Chi-Square test. In 2011, highest percentage notifications for received (12.4%) Natal-RN. affected individuals predominantly male (69.5%), 20 39 age (43.8%), low educational levels (41.3%), mulattoes (68.2%) urban residents (94.1%). When gender associated with tuberculosis, it observed males presented higher percentages positivity Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) (16.3%), Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) (15.8%), alcoholism (34%) smoking (13.5%), while females rates this correlation Diabetes mellitus (10.4%). addition, a statistically significant found tobacco alcohol consumption (<0.001) presence diabetes Aids (<0.001). may serve as auxiliary developing more specific public policies those most susceptible
