A novel approach to fixture design based on locating correctness

In a machining process, since the geometric accuracy of manufacturing workpiece mainly relies on relative position to tool, fixtures are needed locate workpiece. The clear concept locating correctness is presented based Venn diagram and general algorithm proposed determine locator number layout. On one hand, theoretical practical constrained DOFs formulated as function requirement scheme, respectively. other some criteria concluded analyse modify scheme with incorrectness.
