ABSTRACT
This study applied DEA method to compare operational efficiency of South Korean and Vietnamese general public hospitals. Thirty hospitals from Vietnam thirty one Korea were included. The operation the targeted varied greatly in their was found be relatively less efficient than those Korea. difference between statistically significant (t = 18.53, p < 0.001). could because: 1 Vietnam's provide healthcare for majority citizens, while Korea's only have a minor role supplying services its people 2 Government is undertaking more intensive cost-saving control process within 3 incentive system medical staff health insurance also plays an important performance
