ABSTRACT
The endothelin system plays an important role in the development of pulmonary hypertension. Several studies have suggested that interfering with function will be helpful hypertension treatment. In present study, we investigated preventive and therapeutic effects sildenafil on monocrotaline-treated rats. level mean arterial pressure, right ventricular divide, left septum, small morphologic elastic fiber changes were highly improved treated group (P<0.05). expressions endothelin-1 A type receptors significantly reduced sildenafil-treated ET-1 plasma was increased group, but did not reach significance. Emphysema, interstitial pneumonia group. same findings also observed study. results suggest can prevent reverse rats by improving arteries.
