ABSTRACT
Rationale: Despite functional impairments, intensive care unit (ICU) survivors can perceive their quality of life as acceptable. Objectives: To investigate discrepancies between calculated health, based on self-reported physical, mental, and cognitive functioning perceived 1 year after ICU admission. Methods: Data from an ongoing prospective multicenter cohort study, MONITOR-IC, were used. Patient-reported health (EuroQol visual analog scale; range, 0-100) post-ICU patients admitted to 11 participating ICUs July 2016 September 2021 analyzed. The relationship outcomes was modeled using linear regression. Calculated for each patient estimated this model compared with patients' the difference reflecting a discrepancy. On basis minimal clinically important 8 points, three groups defined: who rated better than (positive discrepancy), worse (negative whose concordant health. Results: A total 2,545 analyzed, whom 45.0% (n = 1,146) showed discrepancy Patients negative significantly lower (median, 50; interquartile 36-66) positive 84; 75-90). Importantly, there no significant differences in versus had higher education level more often unemployed. Conclusions: One post-ICU, almost half
