ABSTRACT
To assess the modifications of main fatty acids (FA) in plasma and red blood cells during pregnancy.A longitudinal study 36 normal pregnant women was carried out with 3 cut-off points: first trimester, second trimester third trimester. 14 FA erythrocyte phospholipids were measured using capillary gas chromatography. Measurements expressed percentages absolute values. In there a significant increase proportion saturated decrease long chain polyunsaturated (PUFA) both omega 6 (omega 6) 3) series. On other hand, eicosapentaenoic acid an that docosahexaenoic acid. In series, dihomo-gamma-linolenic increased, whereas docosapentaenoic decreased. There PUFA from to Thus, it is suggested intake pregnancy should be increased last
