ABSTRACT
Abstract The mechanical properties of polyurethane foam (PUF) and glass fiber-reinforced PUF (R-PUF), which are widely used in various fields, were investigated considering the influence lateral confinement. R-PUF – representative polymeric foams with a porous structure suitable for severe environments (e.g. cryogenic field) because they have an excellent adiabatic function load-bearing capability. However, when actual structures, performance materials may change depending on conditions. Assuming that compressive load acts these confined space, analysis material resulting from confining pressure adjacent structures is necessary. Therefore, this study, comparison evaluation behavior performed regard to constraint. results suggest it possible provide experimental basis measuring strength application insulation space.
