In Italy the deep crisis of judicial system, and in particular jail has allowed development an intense deinstitutionalization. A new Italian law (81/2014) recently established dismission all Psychiatric Forensic Hospitals transferring old “forensic” patients to Rems (Residence for implementation security measures) or local Mental Health Department, at time many instances same common settings acute psychiatric services, community territorial psychiatry mixed with “common” patients. This change already introduced several problems, also legal, strong preoccupation among operators, other public opinion as concerns both treatment efficiency safety cure.
