ABSTRACT
New cells are continuously added to the rodent olfactory bulb (OB), throughout development and in adults. These migrate tangentially from subventricular zone along rostral migratory stream OB, where they radically center periphery of OB. Although different modalities radial migration have been described other brain regions, mechanisms governing OB still mostly unknown. Here, we identify a new modality which neuronal precursors blood vessels toward their destination. Our results show that half radially migrating associate with vasculature granule cell layer vivo time-lapse imaging demonstrates use as scaffold for through an interaction extracellular matrix perivascular astrocyte end feet. The present data provide evidence migration, vasophilic is occurring adult reveals novel role vasculature.
