ABSTRACT
Athletics is the most prominent extracurricular activity in U.S. secondary schools terms of student participation and school budgets. The latter often justified on grounds that healthy bodies produce minds, sports boost spirit, school-based increases students' self-esteem. In this article we examine interrelationships among a sport benefits assumed to be associated with it. Specifically, test model postulates operationalized as attachment school, bodies, sense physical well-being, mediate relationship between Data from National Longitudinal Study Adolescent Health Caucasian African American girls boys were employed model.
