ABSTRACT
The aim of this work is to present the corrosion damage mechanism austenitic stainless steel 304.The C-ring specimens are chosen according ASTM G-38 resemble stress conditions during applied load. The immersed in 3.5% wt NaCl solution. The variable were studied at a fixed 379Mpa and immersions for 720 hours. The distribution over surface formulated by means finite-element analysis. The result analysis shows that region was perpendicular shift direction pressure subjected highest load.Using potentiodynamic polarisation measurement method microscopic observation, behaviour became more active cases when immersion simultaneously. The on specimen significant effect analysed area. The also locations pitting apparent area. There useful information analyse especially applications under mechanical loading corrosive environments, it drives critical condition.
