Abstract This paper describes the development of a MADYMO computer model that simulates Leopard tank with an instructor module attached, striking either tree branch or involved in rollover. The is used to protect commanders against injury. attached turret and seated inside observing training driver. consists rollover protection structure, seat four-point harness. simulation was carried out estimate analyse impact loads imparted thus provide guidance for design manufacture module. novel aspect analysis presented here designed tear away if attachment exceed certain limit then becomes protective cocoon. objective determine deformation would reduce instructor's survival space.
