ABSTRACT
In this study, the effect of drying temperature, from 50 °C to 90 °C, on characteristics powdered peanut shell was investigated, and an isothermal procedure used determine moisture diffusivity activation energy. All experiments were performed using a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) for rapidly achieving condition accurately recording mass loss sample. With increasing rate increased time decreased. A short rising period found in all processes due temperature sample beginning drying. The predicted values by diffusion model based Fick’s second law good agreement with experimental data obtained falling period. effective ranged 9.60 x 10-9 2.26 10-8 m2/s, energy determined be 21.2 kJ/mol.
