ABSTRACT
We studied the effectiveness of application high-frequency mechanical peening to improve fatigue resistance characteristics tee welded joints in metal structures which are operated a sea climate.Corrosion damage characteristic for such after long-term service was produced by soaking KST-1 salt spray chamber 1200 h.Metallographic studies were conducted weld zone and HAZ initial (unstrengthened) state strengthening HFMP technology impact corrosive environment. It established that this does not joint neutral spray.Fatigue testing performed strengthened spay.It found before allows increasing their strength at 2•10 6 cycles 48 % cyclic life 2-5 times.19 Ref., 1 Table, Figures.K e y w o r d s : joint, spray, fatigue, peening, ultrasonic treatment, increase corrosion
