ABSTRACT
In this paper, induced currents in an anatomical head model exposed to a non-uniform ELF magnetic field (B-field) including harmonics are numerically calculated, and discussed based on the basic restriction established by International Commission Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). A casual hair dryer of 100V 1.2kW is chosen as typical source B-field both fundamental second harmonic components. The distribution around estimated using 3-orthogonal dipole moments, which derived from couple measured values it. high-resolution human used constructed MRI images real human, consists six kinds tissues (bone, brain, eyeballs, muscle, skin blood). So-called impedance method for numerical calculation current. results show that maximum current 17µA/m2, 60Hz component, about 1/120 ICNIRP appear muscle near eyeball when side model, averaged eyeballs have highest conductivity among tissues. It also demonstrated due 120Hz becomes comparable although magnitude much smaller than B-field.
