ABSTRACT
In this paper, we propose a minimization design method of the inductance and capacitance flying capacitors for multi-level capacitor DC-DC boost converter (FCBC). The effectiveness small capacitances in three-level five-level FCBCs is investigated. We experimentally confirmed that distortion voltage across input source inductor drastically reduced by increasing number levels. Thus, value can be used capacitors, respectively, an n-level FCBC. Therefore, passive components achieved. Moreover, achieved maximum efficiencies designed are 98.5% 97.8%, at output power 1kW.
