Nursing students' assessment of patient safety competencies: a pilot study

ABSTRACT
Aim: To investigate how nursing students assess their competencies in patient safety the Czech Republic. Design: A pilot study. Methods: Data collection was carried out from January to April 2023 using Health Professional Education Patient Safety Survey instrument through Google Forms® platform. The sample consisted of seven faculties Republic (n = 145). Descriptive and inductive statistics statistical program SPSS 25.0 were used data analysis. Results: Nursing more confident both academic clinical settings subscale Managing risks (M 3.85), less Culture 3.54). Significant differences assessment found three dimensions when compared. Numerous associations also demonstrated between sociodemographic data, with greatest impact on factors. Conclusion: Evaluation is a key element increasing quality safe care general. Integrating sociocultural aspects into curriculum crucial. main focus should be culture education.
