Aportes al inventario y caracterización de las plantas medicinales del pueblo originario Lenca de Intibucá, Honduras

ABSTRACT
We carried out a survey with the objectives of identifying plants for medicinal use, create socioeconomic profile, and characterize access to public health services in 8 villages municipalities Intibuca, Yamaranguila, San Francisco de Opalaca, department Honduras. A total 76 persons were surveyed several visits during year 2014. The study was exploratory descriptive scope, non-probabilistic sampling, subjected criterion family belonging ethnic group. identified 95 common names referenced by their traditional empirical use. five most frequently used were: epazote, rue, chamomile, eucalyptus sweetgum, consistent findings from previous studies. However, there are seven that we have not identify yet: bambita, chorrito humo, flor cute, hierba esencio, oreja burro, doctorcito pascualillo. For Lenca people first choice medical care face extreme poverty isolation.
