ABSTRACT
To investigate the occurrence and identify factors contributing to hospitalization among individuals diagnosed with COVID-19.From June 15, 2020 September 30, 2020, a cross-sectional study utilizing an online questionnaire was carried out in Jordan. The included 657 COVID-19 patients who had recovered reached minimum of 3 months post-illness. Sociodemographic COVID-19-related data were collected. distributed members "My Experience Association" Jordan.The prevalence 3%. Patients hypertension (p=0.00), diabetes mellitus heart disease (p=0.009); using angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE) angiotensin-receptor blockers (ARBs) (p=0.00); body mass indexes (BMI) above normal (p=0.005); aged over 45 years (p=0.00) at higher risk hospitalization. Using odds ratio (OR), (OR=7.1), (OR=11.4), (OR=6.3), use (OR=10.8), having BMI >25 (OR=5) significant factors. seasonal influenza vaccine, smoking, neuropsychological symptoms showed no significance.Identifying high-risk groups can help them monitor their health take preventive measures against infection.
