ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to investigate the effect soil drench with three different concentrations CdCl2 on growth criteria, ions content and water relations Sorghum bicolor plants. Also particular interest focused grain presoaking kinetin in order ameliorate toxicity effects exerted by levels CdCl2. In general, results showed, that observed suppression criteria (i.e. root length, fresh dry weights, plant height, shoot cumulative leaf area as well root/shoot ratio), K+, Na+, Ca2+ Cd2+), total conductivity, transpiration rate relative content) response relieved either partially or completely when grains were presoaked (50 ppm). alleviating for Cd2+ more pronounced 1 mM treatment.
