ABSTRACT
One of the most commonly occurring foodborne, tissue cyst-forming protozoan zoonotic parasites with public health and veterinary relevance is Sarcocystis species. This research was conducted using traditional molecular techniques to identify incidence spp. in 750 slaughtered bovine animals varying age sex (375 cattle 375 buffalo) at various abattoirs Aswan Governorate, Egypt. The overall occurrence macroscopic lesions buffaloes 20.5% 38.4%, respectively, while microscopic infection 30.4% 70.1%, respectively. Furthermore, disease strongly correlated measured variables, such as animal’s sex. Animals older than 5 years had highest rate, females higher rates males. esophagus, tongue, diaphragm sarcocyst compared other organs. Histopathology studies tissues revealed encased, circular elongated, basophilic sarcocysts numerous bradyzoites embedded muscle fibers. PCR-RFLP reports that S. cruzi, hominis, hirsuta, buffalonis, fusiformis were species often found. Moreover, frequency highlights pressing need for an effective control strategy a systematic surveillance system among populations. We encourage Health approach reduce spread humans financial losses livestock industry.
