There is no on how to accomplish much controversy over best method. In response, we created a lab using fresh frozen cadavers teach procedural skills. Methods: During 4-day (2 days in June, 2 July) lab, first-, second-, third-year emergency medicine residents practice supervised procedures suitable their level training. Trainees are invited session with level-specific objectives provided checklist procedure steps expected completion time, upon which they evaluated. This publication includes description set-up list supplies needed facilitate session. Each role-play resident obtaining informed consent has indications contraindications. The bulk time spent one-on-one supervision performing atlases texts at each cadaver for real-time reference. Results: Formally solicited feedback from 100% participants, both faculty, been unanimously positive helped us create final refined process. Discussion: Scheduling instruction evaluation during controlled workshops set curriculum objective criteria realistic, unembalmed allows predictability, consistency, reproducibility, thoroughness, providing framework document competence. maximizes use resources, including themselves, supplies, space, learner faculty can adapted any number learners discipline. Educational Objectives By end session, will able to: Describe for, contraindications to, residency year-specific procedures.Describe risks benefits those while patient role play.Describe materials necessary perform procedures.Perform proper technique within stated limits human cadaver.Verbalize all landmarks rationale actions.
