ABSTRACT
The centenary of the Revolution 1917, which radically changed historical destiny Russia, calls for conclusions regarding certain results its study. In modern historiography, there are dozens opinions on matter, significantly differ from each other. Scholars focus basic characteristics — chronological frameworks, character, causes and results, driving forces, etc. very notion revolution is also under consideration. However, didactic needs related to teaching, imply need harmonise existing assessments event in question. article analyses theoretical views rely various methodological approaches, including Marxist, civilisational, modernisational, institutional, synergetic, comparative, projective ones. author events relying mainly historiographic resources a summarising nature based typological analysis events. When analysing interpretations debatable questions 1917 Revolution, suggests using method adjustment opinions, identification objectively arising points overlapping opinions. possibility such adjustments rests use similar cognitive procedures deductive or inductive logic judgments, basis frequency most widespread
