ABSTRACT
In this paper, we present a broadband impedance matching technique for the design of microwave low noise amplifiers. This technique is based on the use of the interdigital filters and quarter-wave transformers. The type of the transistors used to model this amplifier is the HEMT (AFP02N2-00, of Alpha Industries®). The found results show that this amplifier is unconditionally stable with a satisfactory gain in the order of 20 dB and a good impedance matching across all the band of interest [10-12] GHz. The modeled amplifier in this work can be integrated in radar and satellite reception systems.
