ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to investigate the effects sumac and turmeric on performance, egg quality traits, blood parameters laying hens. Forty Lohman Brown hens at 30 weeks age were distributed into four groups, consisting five replicates with two in each. experiment lasted for 42 days. Laying fed different basal diets treatment groups control groups. consisted a diet 0.5% sumac, turmeric, 0.25% + turmeric. Hens given ad libitum access feed water during experiment. results revealed that there no statistically significant differences terms final body weight, production, intake after according as Addition increased production but reduced conversion ratio compared group. On other hand, dietary supplementation decreased weight. Shape index, yolk albumen Haugh unit, color also not affected by sumac. When layers turmeric-supplemented diet, index higher number, unit lower. Dietary addition does have any negative influence performance traits treatments do significantly affect serum cholesterol, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate (AST) levels. With AST ALT levels are number among all can be added level hen rations without changing animal performance.
