ABSTRACT
This article focuses on contributions that AI can make to address long‐term educational goals. Challenges are described support: (1) mentors for every learner; (2) learning 21st century skills; (3) interaction data learning; (4) universal access global classrooms; and (5) lifelong lifewide learning. A vision brief research agenda each challenge along with goals lead development of resources the reuse sharing digital resources. Instructional systems technology currently support richer experiences learners supply researchers new opportunities analyze vast sets instructional behavior from big databases record elements learning, affect, motivation, social interaction. Personalized is facilitates student group experience, reflection, assessment.
