ABSTRACT
This study is prepared to analyze the heat transfer from a uniformly heated, slightly curved convex (SCX) surface numerically using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code of commercial software ANSYS-CFX. Some experimental results are also obtained by means wind tunnel setup confirm numerical study. After good agreement achieved between and results, effects some major parameters on around SCX determined results. Effects Prandtl number (Pr = 0.237 3431), Reynolds (Re 40,000 400,000), curvature ratio (CR 1,2, 4) local Nusselt (Nu) along circumference extracted Additionally, new correlations Nu depending Re, Pr, CR obtained. The prime outcomes this mathematical investigation provided here. An exact CFD solution for turbulent external flow appearing in graphical solutions that show rate system can be divided into three regions various Re numbers. maximum average observed case higher ratio.
