ABSTRACT
To investigate the population density and seasonal fluctuations of Aedes albopictus in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, from 2021 to 2023, so as provide insights into A. control management dengue fever. The surveillance was performed all sites assigned across streets (townships) City during period January December 2023. frequency twice every half month May September, once for rest a year. In each period, mosquito larvae were captured indoor outdoor small water containers residential areas, parks, medical facilities, schools, other government sectors social organizations, construction sites, special industries others species identification. Adult mosquitoes using electric suction apparatus identification gender classification. eggs collected with egg traps at breeding dwelling places oviposition index (MOI), Breteau (BI), adult (ADI) standard space (SSI) calculated. classified grades 0, 1, 2 3 site, Grade 0 defined eligible, eligible rate calculated year addition, changing trends MOI, SSI, BI ADI analyzed rates 61.69%, 68.75% 55.15% 2023 (χ2 = 297.712, P < 0.001), appeared tendency towards reduction followed by rise year, which gradually reduced since January, maintained low level between October, increased November December. peaked first June (4.03), July 2022 (3.89) last August (5.02), SSI (0.93), (0.59), (0.94) September (1.12). MOI (8.64), (8.96), (10.21) (10.89), (3.41), (4.06), (3.61). is high risk local outbreak caused imported fever high. Persistent intensified fluctuation recommended timely prevention required according density.
