ABSTRACT
In this study, serum samples of 203 animals from different locations, zoos and breeding facilities the north northeast regions Brazil, were analyzed for presence anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies by modified agglutination test (MAT) with a cutoff 1∶25. Of sampled animals, 184 adult mammals both sexes 19 birds. Antibodies found in 61 mammals, no association between sex age T. was observed (P < 0.05). Anti-T. not Toxoplasma detected Brazilian tapir (Tapirus terrestris) first time.
