ABSTRACT
Deep penetrating sealer (DPS) is a general term for class of waterproofing agent that can fill the internal pores concrete; it produced by mixing an alkali metal silicate solution as base material with catalysts and additives. The objective this study was to investigate characteristics mechanism effect different amounts DPS sprayed on concrete. water absorption, hydrophilicity, permeability, microhardness, abrasion erosion resistance pore structure concrete were tested at water/cement ratios DPS. test analysis results showed that, compared control concrete, absorbed less exhibited permeability after being Moreover, microhardness improved, while volume significantly decreased. more evident when amount higher. This provides reference practical engineering applications demonstrating variation in surface properties spraying
