ABSTRACT
The effects and risks of COVID-19 during pregnancy are still inconclusive. Studies show that the development severe symptoms can lead to preterm labor. objective study was gather scientific evidence on in pregnant women, understand its relationship with prematurity complications newborn. This is an integrative review descriptive qualitative approaches, conducted PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde – BVS, Scielo, Cochrane Library, gray literature Google Scholar databases using search strategies: “Premature Birth” AND “Risk Factor” “SARS-Cov-2”, as well “COVID-19”. We included experimental, quasi-experimental, non-experimental articles, published between 2020-2022, English, Portuguese, or Spanish, journals impact factor greater than equal one. Fourteen studies meet inclusion criteria: seven cohort studies, three cases controls, one multicenter observational study, systematic reviews, two them meta-analysis. In form disease reported increase number preterms births twelve prevalence cesarean section five addition eclampsia preeclampsia. findings indicate delivery other complications, emphasizing importance follow-up multidisciplinary care for women infants.
