During the survey (2012-2013) in Ordu province, a total of 340 specimens Poduromorpha springtails (Collembola) belonging to 18 species, 13 genera four families (Hypogastruridae, Neanuridae, Odontellidae, Onychiuridae) were collected. Almost all species are reported for first time from Turkey. With our 17 new records, grand Collembola fauna Turkey rises 100 species. This represents an increase about 20% over current data These results suggest that biodiversity is undoubtedly still waiting be discovered.
