Parenting with Type 1 Diabetes: The Relationship between Parenting Support and Stress

ABSTRACT
Objective: The present study examines the relationship between parenting self-efficacy, social support in tasks, and parenting-related stress for parents with without type 1 diabetes (T1D).Research Design Methods: Parents T1D completed self-report measures addressing demographic, (e.g., parental stress, support, self-efficacy), diabetes-related variables. One-way ANOVAs examined effect of parent diagnosis on demographic data. In addition, regression analyses main interactive effects perceived accounting stress.Results: a self-reported more than diagnosis. T1D, was significantly positively correlated age at negatively most recent HbA1c, self-agency, support; however, among diagnosis, null.
