ABSTRACT
Field and laboratory experiments were conducted to investigate the weed suppressing effects of cover crops in single mixed cultivation. Weed densities field ranged from 0 267 plants/m2 with Chenopodium album L., Matricaria chamomilla Stellaria media (L.) Vill. as predominant weeds. It was found that mustard (Sinapis alba L.), fodder radish (Raphanus sativus var. niger J. Kern) spring vetch (Vicia sativa L.) supressed weeds by 60% crop mixtures controlled 66% during fallow period at three experimental locations 2013, 2014 2015. The biochemical effect same crops/mixtures on growth analysed experiments. Aqueous extracts applied using LC/MS/MS. Mean germination time, rate root length determined. Extracts prolonged time 54% compared control only water. In all cases, inhibitory measured. density be correlated tests. Our work reveals play a major role suppression crops.
