ABSTRACT
Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by joint inflammation and destruction, leading to significant pain disability. Adenosine deaminase (ADA) identified as biomarker for RA’s process. This study aims investigate the potential of flavonoids phenolic acids inhibit ADA activity (in silico) evaluate their anti-inflammatory effects in RA model vivo). Methods: The molecular docking was conducted using YASARA Structure 19.12.14. software following Auto Dock 4.2 protocol. A rat with pristane-induced used test effect selected polyphenols. consistency development evaluated through indicators artistic score, paw volume, body weight. Quercetin administered intragastrically at doses 150 400 mg/kg over 15 days. C-reactive protein (CRP) level serum measured an automatic biochemical analyzer. Statistical analyses were performed SPSS 29.0.2.0. Results: Molecular simulations showed inhibited inhibition constants ranging from 0.012 mM 0.190 mM. In vivo model, quercetin significantly reduced CRP levels higher dose mg/kg. Conclusion: shows promise agent targeting ADA, suggesting that flavonoid-rich plant extracts could enhance treatment.
