ABSTRACT
This article reviews public health interventions for preparedness and response to natural disasters within the context of El Niño phenomenon using systematic a review revisions with emphasis on vector-borne diseases, waterborne malnutrition, heat stress, drought, flood-associated mental problems, vulnerability physical health-system infrastructure, as well long-term policies aimed at protecting populations these cases. Environmental were identified, including vector control, chemoprophylaxis, immunization, intradomiciliary water treatment. While finds are based primarily reviews, it is necessary evaluate benefit population, according each region.
