ABSTRACT
REDD+ is a multilevel endeavour. Global demands, national and subnational structures local people's needs aspirations must all be linked in efforts to reduce emissions from deforestation forest degradation. We use Brockhaus Angelsen's (2012) framework of Institutions, Interests, Information Ideas (4Is) analyse the governance through one its core elements: measurement, reporting verification. present dimensions risks if they are disregarded. flow interplay information, institutions interests across levels verification examine which mechanisms enable this flow. To support our analysis, we provide anecdotal evidence challenges opportunities three countries: Brazil, Vietnam Indonesia.
