ABSTRACT
As part of the design CLARA (Compact Linear Accelerator for Research and Applications), proposed UK FEL test facility at Daresbury Laboratory, a high repetition rate S-band photoinjector RF gun is being developed. This will be able to operate up 400 Hz in single bunch mode. We present initial cavity design, including its optimisation beam dynamics CLARA. also cooling which enable rates achieved.
