ABSTRACT
Background: Hemodynamic monitoring its early stabilization is very important in critically ill patients. Evaluating the Internal jugular vein diameter during respiratory cycles by means of Point-of care ultrasound provides an important, easily available and precise index for hemodynamic status; a new method which called Jugular Vein Collapsibility Index (IJV-CI). Any events that alters intrathoracic volumes pressures may affect this index. In study we investigate effects various levels positive end-expiratory pressure on Methods: Thirty mechanically ventilated patients were studied. We used three different PEEP (0, 5 10 cmH2o) point-of-care evaluation IJV (Internal Vein) to determine IJV-CI. The analysis performed using SPSS V.25.0. Results: Patients included men (76.6%) women (33.3%). mean age was 39.65±3.4 42.71± 9.34 women. IJV-CI 20.71±11.77 24.25±11.46 PEEP=0 PEEP=10 cmH20 groups respectively. 5cmH20-PEEP group median interquartile range 16.45(14.8). not statistically significantly different. Conclusion: According finding study, found no evidence optimal level measure
