Double Ovarian Stimulation Versus Using Antagonist with a High Dose of Gonadotropin in Women with Poor Ovarian Response: A Randomized Clinical Trial Study

ABSTRACT
Background: Poor Ovarian Response (POR) to ovarian stimulation is a challenging factor in Assisted Reproduction Technology (ART). This study aimed compare the efficacy of conventional antagonist with high doses gonadotropin protocol double females POR. Methods: randomized clinical trial was conducted on 60 women aged >35 PORS at Avicenna Infertility Center, Tehran, Iran. The participants were randomly divided into 2 groups (n=30 /each). In group 1, from second day menstrual cycle, started dose 450-600 units. 2, period began Letrozole 5 mg every night and an oral tablet Clomiphene citrate 50 day, fourth 150 units gonadotrophin (Triptorelin, 0.2 mg). Results: this study, end follicular phase, there significant correlation between type number Germinal Vesicles (GV) (p=0.04). mean oocytes retrieved 2.76±1.9 method 3.23±2.1 (p=0.90). fertilized 31 25 protocol. pregnancies that led fetus 1.38±1.3 0.96±0.9 (p=0.018). Conclusion: results show embryos double-stimulation more capable completing pregnancy, had higher live birth rate.
