ABSTRACT
Local recurrence is common after radical surgery. However, the factors that contribute to survival local remain unclear. In this retrospective study we analyzed relationship between time and in 74 patients with locally recurrent gastric cancer. All received palliative radiotherapy or without chemotherapy. The were divided into two groups according gastrectomy recurrence: early (ELR, < 12 months primary surgery), late (LLR, ≥12 surgery). median overall (OS) was 15 for ELR 25 LLR patients. Univariate multivariate analysis revealed significantly associated OS (P = 0.001). hazard ratio of compared 0.442 (95% confidence interval: 0.264-0.741). These results indicate predicted poor prognosis cancer unresectable recurrence.
