Venous thromboembolism [VTE] is common in pregnant females but limitations for timely diagnosis using non-invasive techniques delays the and cause increased morbidity. Inability to use radiological methods physiological increase of D-dimer values pregnancy inhibits non-pregnant reference ranges D-dimer.
