ABSTRACT
Due to ever increasing demand, the electronics industry has been growing at a rapid pace, and therefore handling management of Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment (WEEE) become one key problems in modern world. Improper WEEE developing countries can cause huge environmental damage threats on human health. In some developed countries, policies have set up strategies implemented by aiming recuperation materials from while conserving resources controlling pollution. For instance, Japan, home appliance recycling law like for achieving recycling-oriented society. this study, socio-economic effects end-of-life appliances such as washing machines, Refrigerators, Air conditioners Televisions assessed. Recycling mechanism Fokuoka Prefecture under Japan's was evaluated via life cycle assessment perspective. Life based methodology considering all phases collection, primary secondary transportation, pre-processing (dismantling), material recovery. Net greenhouse gas (GHG) emission net resource savings potentials were quantified indicators measure major impacts green jobs creation potential income community well-being assess socioeconomic attributes recycling. Further, India assessed results obtained case studies compared identifying most appropriate approach then supporting policy making process. demonstrated that it would be possible avoid more than 50% GHG emissions 55-80% abiotic consumption kind way or another happen through production equivalent amount conventional processes. 165 employment opportunities created an annual 686 million Japanese yen generated due managing 700,000 units WEEE. activities are shown lower process therefore, positively contribute fossil recuperating significant The authors argue tangible information will helpful decision policy-making strengthening implementing comprehensive legislation society Japan well other countries.&nbsp
