New insights into the diffusion of I4.0 in the Brazilian Steel Industry

This article seeks to enrich the literature on innovation and transformation of productive structures by exploring Industry 4.0 technologies their applications implications for Brazilian steel industry. Through a comparative analysis surveys conducted with same companies in 2018 2021, study tracks evolution I4.0 technology diffusion within firms. The findings reveal that while rate technological clusters this sector has been relatively slow had limited impacts system, financial outcomes have notably positive. Consequently, these innovations serve as effective tools enhancing existing structure terms availability returns rather than revolutionizing it.
