ABSTRACT
The first cases of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) were recorded in the Wuhan seafood market, where a variety mammalian animals are sold live and for direct consumption resulting pandemic has once again highlighted role human-animal interaction spread pathogens. objective this study was to evaluate seroprevalence SARS-CoV-2 among slaughterhouse workers Burkina Faso. We carried out cross-sectional slaughterhouses Ouagadougou Bobo Dioulasso between March April 2021. collected sociodemographic data we performed ELISA tests determine presence anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies serum samples. included 183 participants. Among these, 79 resided 104 Dioulasso. majority participants men (179/183, or 97.81%) average age 33.87 years. Of samples analyzed, 140 (76.50%) found be positive antibodies, including 76/104 (73.07%) 64/79 (81.01%) Ouagadougou. Univariate analysis showed no significant association seropositivity, data, professional profile personal hygiene.
