ABSTRACT
This study used the 2022 food consumption behavior survey data to classify consumer segments and comparatively analyzed characteristics of eating out according competencies. A total 6,365 effective samples were based on adult household members. Descriptive statistical analysis, frequency Chi-square test ANOVA used. As a result assorting 4 groups high low levels mean score internal external basic competency practice competency, 'Food Citizen', 'Behavioral Consumer', 'Potential Illiterate' are classified. Potential consumers spend most out, illiterates show delivery take-out patterns, citizens also eat lot. For consumers, has been identified as daily meal alternative. Accordingly, future restaurant industry is bright, but cultivating public very important in preserving local culture, revitalizing agriculture rural areas, overcoming security problems. presents practical policy implications that will help establish policies enhance
