ABSTRACT
Background: Limited research has been done to measure ambulatory respiratory behavior, in particular those associated with tobacco use, the natural environment due a lack of monitoring techniques. Respiratory topography parameters provide useful information for modelling particle deposition lung and assessing exposure risk health effects use. Commercially available Wearable Monitors (WRM), such as Hexoskin Smart Garment, have embedded sensors which chest motion may be adapted measuring volume. Methods: Self-reported ‘everyday’ ‘some days’ Hookah Cigarette smokers were recruited 3-day observation study. Participants wore shirt while using their preferred product. The was calibrated on them prior to, during, after period. A novel method calculating calibration is presented. Results: N=5 N=3 participants enrolled.
